About Us |

The Upper Susitna Shooters Association is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough dedicated to education, safety and the promotion of shooting and archery. Facilities are available to the general public for a fee of $10.00 per person and to Members for $5.00.
Hours of operation are dependent on the availability of our Volunteer Range Safety Officers and weather conditions. If you would like to utilize the facilities and want to make sure our ranges are available, please call or e-mail us to make arrangements.
Basic Safety Rules1. Treat every gun as if it were loaded 2. Keep the muzzle pointed in a Safe direction 3. Keep finger off the trigger until ready to fire 4. Uncased firearms shall have the action open and an empty chamber indicator in use 5. No firearms may be touched when individuals are downrange. Please step away from the line. 6. Everyone has the responsibility to call, “Cease Fire,” if a dangerous situation occurs. 7. At “Cease Fire,” you are to immediately stop firing and wait for further instructions. Safety is the Prevention of Accidents
Brass buckets are available on the firing line for spent cartridges. Please use these to keep our range clean. Brass will be de-primed, cleaned and made available for reloading at no charge.
